Which is the best large bread maker?

Looking for the Best Large Bread Maker?

Got 5-6 members in your family? Want to win their love by baking them fresh homemade bread every day?

While most of you would have stopped reading because it’s hard to find a bread machine that can bake that big of a loaf, we don’t blame you. Mostly bread machines can bake from a range of 1 pound, 1.5 pounds, 2 pounds, 2.5 pounds, or 3 pounds. But this last bit, the 2.5 and 3 pounds, is hard to come by.

We have noticed that manufacturers tend to stick to smaller sizes like 1 or 2 pounds at maximum because large bread machines use up more space, and there are fewer buyers. However, that’s not your fault. You just want to bake bread that is ample for your big family. So where does one go looking?

Previously, West Bend 41410 production came to a halt. It was one of the machines that could bake a 2.5-pound bread easily, so many people were disappointed. However, in 2018 West Bend launched a new model by the name of 47413, and this was definitely bigger and better than the previous one.

1- West Bend 47413

West Bend 47413 can bake up to a 3-pound bread!

This big, beautiful machine is designed for your big, beautiful family. This horizontal loaf pan comes with two kneading blades. It can bake 1.5 pounds, 2 pounds, 2.5 pounds, and a 3-pound bread. It comes with 12 pre-programmed settings and three primary crust colors; light, medium, and dark.

Other than being more prominent in size, nothing of significance has changed. It’s a reliable machine if you’re looking for a gluten-free bread option. It takes around three hours to bake a loaf of bread in it. All you will hear is a beep when it’s done.

The black exterior gives it a sleek look and is solid and firm. The rectangular shape bakes a mouth-watering traditional bread for you. It also makes up for an excellent alternative to Zojirushi bread machines.

However, the display is lined with all 12 program settings on both sides, so at first glance, the options can seem a bit overwhelming, but it comes with a manual that answers all your questions.

2- Breville BBM800XL

Next up we have Breville BBM800XL that has earned itself a reputation for being the best bread machine. If you’re looking to bake a 2.5-pound bread, then this is it. It is ideal for families of all sizes as it ranges from 1 pound to 2.5 pounds. It’s great in terms of customization and technology. However, it does take up space as it is a big machine but will surely catch the attention of everyone that walks into your kitchen.

Moreover, if you’re on the gluten-free side, then this bread machine serves well. The amazing features don’t stop right here; this bread machine even has a fruit and nut dispenser. You don’t have to wait for a signal to open the lid and add the ingredients. This also means that if you set it to a 13-hour delay timer and start baking, in the middle of the night, you would not have to wake up and add the fruits/nuts. Imagine waking up to the smell of freshly baked basil and tomato bread. Yum!

The kneading paddles are also collapsible, which means that your bread won’t stick to it as it happens in most machines. The coolest feature for me is that you can even make jam in it. It comes with a dedicated blade for it. All you need to do is replace it with the one used for making the dough.

No wonder this has been the best-selling bread machine for years.

3- Zojirushi BB-PDC20

The Zojirushi BB-PDC20 was released a few years ago, and it’s safe to say that it might replace the older model – Zojirushi BB-PAC20. If you’re big on baking bread then we recommend you check out the Zojirushi line as it offers excellent options. The revolutionary dual heating lid makes it stand out from the rest. The crusty top and bottom with warm, soft insides of the bread are a treat for your taste buds.

It includes three settings that we love the most. One it allows you to bake gluten-free bread. The kneading blades can handle the thick gluten-free dough. Two, it has a vegan bread course where you can add almond milk instead of dairy milk. Three, my personal favorite, European course allows you to bake savory bread.

These three are the cream of big bread machines that you cannot go wrong with.
